Having trouble germinating carrots? Napa cabbage always bolting? Don't know how to prune tomatoes? Here's your chance to pick the brain of a local farmer. My name's Pierce, I have over 10 years of farming experience, and have operated Soft Step Farm for 5 seasons. The farm is a highly productive micro-farm, grows on less than an acre, and prioritizes soil health, productivity, efficiency, and minimizing waste. Farming on such a small scale means my production techniques translate easily to the garden scale. Beginners and intermediate growers alike will surely take away some valuable insights.
As a group we'll choose some of the most challenging crops for us to grow and dive into both specific tips and broader strategies for more comprehensive success. The class will largely be discussion/Q&A based.
Class will include a short tour of Soft Step and will take place in a greenhouse.
